HEALTH PROFESSIONALS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
(HPMP)
HPMP pairs pre-health undergraduates with healthcare professionals who provide either one or more of the following: Advising, Shadowing, and/or Research.

Medical Education for Diverse Students
(MEDS)
MEDS hosts an annual all-day conference for pre-med and pre-health students at UCSD and neighboring colleges. Through sim labs, Q+A sessions, panels, and other workshops, MEDS helps low-income, minority students be more informed about the health field and their future careers.

Health Outreach Program
(HOP)
HOP provides informational and engaging pre-health workshops for high schoolers coming from underserved populations. HOP seeks to educate high school students about the various careers in the healthcare field.

Health Opportunities Preparation and Empowerment
(HOPE)
HOPE holds multiple events, including the yearly URiM conference, to support disadvantaged and underrepresented students in reaching their healthcare goals. HOPE also hosts the annual Underrepresented in Medicine (URiM) Conference dedicated to introducing students to different healthcare careers.

Starting the Education, Awareness, Research in Careers of Health (SEARCH)
SEARCH hosts informational events for pre-health students, with a focus on non pre-medical paths, including but not limited to dentistry, pharmacy, physician’s assistants etc.

Health Research Initiative
(HRI)
HRI provides resources for UCSD students to explore translational research, as well as educate pre-health students on how they can incorporate both research and medicine in their careers.

Service
Service provides volunteering opportunities for students through planning three service projects throughout the year, including our quarterly Blood Drives and Homelessness Outreach Projects.
